Inner Peace (Prayer Edition)

Read: John 16:33  Hello Friend! Have you ever been so deep in a problem that you don’t know what to do or who to tell? It eats you up slowly and you can’t even tell anyone. The worst thing is when you are with people, you pretend to be okay, but when you are all alone, you begin to cry again. Many situations in life are like storms, causing pain, discomfort, anxiety, and even depression; but we have assurance from God’s word that He has not given us the spirit of fear! We are not afraid of tomorrow, not because we have it all put together, but because we know that God is for us and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding comforts us on every side.  In today’s prayer edition, we are encouraged to pray some heartfelt prayers, even as we trust God to hear us and give us the peace our soul longs for. May we have a peaceful end of the month and the start of a new one in Jesus' name. Amen.  Keep in Mind  When you focus on God, you see more of solutions and less o...

The Positive Mindset

Read: 1 Thes 5:16-18 Hello Friend! How would you feel if someone told you that the project you had spent all your time and resources to work on got rejected? It can be hard to keep rejoicing or stay thankful when things are very bad, but it is not impossible anyway, and the Bible shows us how. Today’s publication is a reminder to have a positive attitude towards life, no matter how things are going. There are three ways we can learn to start changing our mindset and I pray the Holy Spirit fills us with more wisdom concerning this topic. Keep in Mind  “ No matter what has happened to you in the past or what is going on in your life right now, it has no power to keep you from having an amazingly good future if you will walk by faith in God. God loves you! He wants you to live with victory over sin so you can possess His promises for your life today!" — Joyce Meyer Prayer Dear God, thank You for my yesterday, today and tomorrow. I believe that my life is in Your hands and ...

A moment of weakness

Read: John 14:26 Hello Friend! How do you feel when you are being pressured to do something you know is wrong? or h ow do you feel when you do something you know is wrong and have always been careful about? These two scenarios are moments of weakness; sometimes we can't even tell anyone how we feel. But the question is, what can I do? What can you do? On a cold, solemn night, Judas sat lonely in a corner thinking of all that had happened. The guilt that gripped his heart was so firm, that it was gradually choking the life out of him.  He could hear two voices from different parts of his head and the more he tried to stop them, the more it felt like he was going crazy. “Just one moment of weakness that you shouldn’t have allowed and now you’re in this mess. What even came over you? What were you thinking? Do you even have a conscience? How could you do such a thing, something like that has never been heard of, do you even know the terrible record you just made? This story will be to...

Hymns of Praise

Read: Psalm 150 Hello Friend! It’s always a good time when we get to sing   hymns in Church. It’s not just about the melodies and instruments, hymns hit differently! The lyrics are often so deep and if you take some time to pay attention to those lyrics, you will see the powerful messages in them. Today, we will be looking at a verse each from 5 different hymns about thanksgiving to God. Pay attention to the deep meaning in those verses; and use the melodious tunes with the lyrics to worship God for how far He has brought you this year. Cheers to a week of favour and good news! Now thank we all our God Now thank we all our God with heart and hands and voices, who wondrous things has done, in whom his world rejoices; who from our mothers' arms has blessed us on our way with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today. Praise my soul, the King of heaven  Praise Him for his grace and favour to his people in distress. Praise him, still the same as ever, slow to chide, and swi...
