What manner of love!

 Read: John 20:1-29

Hello Friend!

What a beautiful celebration of the Lord’s resurrection! As we celebrate Easter this year, let’s remember that we are celebrating because God loved us and gave us the gift of Jesus, who died on the cross to bring us redemption, grace, and victory! The tomb is empty, Jesus is risen, rejoice oh child of God! Today’s publication is a poem that tells a story about the debt that Jesus paid for you and I, despite our unworthiness. Let this poem remind you about the depth of God’s love for you and give you many reasons to tell people about the good news of redemption.

He walked amidst the angry crowd

Their piercing voices slashing more than the whips

They humiliated their king and crowned Him with thorns

The cross hung on his bare shoulders

Our sins, filthy and bloody

Golgotha, the place of skull

There He was crucified

There it was finished

He had redeemed man

The price for sin was paid

He walked amidst the angry crowd

Their piercing voices slashing more than the whips

Crying for an innocent man to be punished

He heard them clearly

The flag of injustice they waved with pride

The just have gone hiding

Behold robbers walking freely on the streets

There stood a confused judge

Indecisive, manipulated,afraid

They humiliated their king

Crowned Him with thorns

Their face brightened with sarcasm

He became the object of their ridicule

They shouted for Him to be crucified

Their voices beaming with enthusiasm

Couldn't wait to see Him die

Yet He was innocent

He never hurted a fly

But He had to die

So in all these, he remained calm

He carried His cross willingly

Let them take Him freely

He humbled Himself despite their arrogance

Never opened His mouth to say vile words

Remained quiet at their accusations

Smiled at their foolishness

But never regretted His decision

Because it was love driving Him

Away with Him, away with Him

They screamed on top of their voices

How could men be so ignorant

How could we be so ignorant?

So they took Him away

He bore His cross, our cross

Heavy as it was

Hanging on His shoulders

Our burdens, our sins

Filthy, bloody

He forged ahead, weak and tired

Thirsty, hungry

They treated Him like a slave

Their King

But His eyes remained fixed on the Father

Your will be done

Golgotha

The place of skull

It was there He was crucified

Our King

'JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS'

So holy He was

But He was crucified with criminals

They parted His raiment among themselves

They cast lots for His vesture

And left Him naked and cold

Their King

So a mother watched her son die

Eyes laden with tears

She saw it all

His heart melted for her

If only she understood

He still smiled in His heart

He never stopped loving

His eyes constantly fixed to heaven

And It was there it all ended

It was finished

He tore the veil

He redeemed us

So we could reach out to the father

Behold His glory

And Share in His kingdom

Unconditional love

What is man that He's mindful of us?

Keep in Mind

God’s love is unfailing. Whenever you feel unloved, remember that God’s love is unconditional and He will never stop loving you.

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ. Please give me a deeper understanding of Your love for me.

Giving Thanks in Everything

Sometimes life feels like it’s falling apart — plans fail, losses come unexpectedly, and hope seems distant. Think of a time when things weren’t going the way you wanted; with all the emotions rushing through your mind, gratitude was probably the last thing you wanted to express. Yet, this is exactly where true thanksgiving begins — not when life is perfect, but when we trust that God is still good, even when things don’t seem that way. God’s Word encourages us to give thanks in all circumstances because He cares deeply for us, and His thoughts toward us are always good (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when things seem unclear, His plans are still for our peace and not for our destruction. Sometimes, we need to pause and look back at our lives to see the countless blessings we’ve overlooked. The psalmist reminds us to remember the deeds of the Lord and meditate on His works (Psalm 77:11–12). As we walk through tough seasons, it’s important to shift our focus away from negativity and toward the...

When obedience seems hard

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were in Abraham’s position? God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac — the son he had waited for all his life. Imagine the thoughts that must have run through his mind as he walked toward that mountain, carrying wood and fire but no explanation. Yet, Abraham obeyed. He trusted that even in this impossible command, God had a purpose. His faith reminds us that true obedience sometimes means surrendering what we value most. Sometimes, God asks us to let go of something dear — a dream, a relationship, or even a habit — and our first instinct is to resist. We grumble, argue, or try to reason it out because obedience can feel costly. But obedience, even when hard, is proof of our trust in God. Jesus Himself obeyed the Father even unto death (Philippians 2:8), and that obedience brought salvation to the whole world. The Bible makes it clear that disobedience leads to pain and loss. Saul lost his throne because he disobeyed God’s instr...

Truly humble?

“True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.” Proverbs 22 : 4 NLT As a Christian, have you ever been convicted in your heart that you were acting out of pride? Sometimes pride creeps in unnoticed—especially when we get carried away with church activities or even personal achievements. Before we realize it, we may start thinking we are the center of attraction instead of giving God the glory. Pride is subtle but dangerous, and if we are not careful, our service to God can become more about ourselves than Him. May we never be deprived of God’s blessings because of pride. True humility begins with total reverence for God—acknowledging Him for who He is and recognizing that everything we have comes from Him. Scripture reminds us in James 4:6 that, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humility is not weakness; it is strength under God’s control. It is the heart that bows before God, knowing He alone is our source. The fear of the Lord goe...
