Gratitude Affirmations (from the Bible)

Happy New Month!

Do you sometimes forget the good things that people do for you or how do you feel personally when people don’t remember that you did something good for them? No matter how we try to act like we don’t mind, everyone actually loves to be appreciated. The Psalmist mentioned it repeatedly that we should not forget the goodness of God. It’s such a beautiful thing to express gratitude to God because we can’t even pay him back for His unfailing love and kindness. Where humans fail, God’s faithfulness never ends. In today’s publication, we have 10 powerful affirmations that express our gratitude and praise to God for who He is and for what He does. May this month of may be remembered for joy and fruitfulness.

  1. I will give thanks to God for He is good to me; His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness never ceases.‬ ‭
  2. I will praise the Lord and never forget the good and wonderful things He does for me. 
  3. I give thanks to God because He fills my life with good things and renews my strength  everyday.
  4. All that I am will give thanks to God, I will praise Him with all my heart.
  5. I will testify of the goodness of God to me. 
  6. I will give thanks to God because He has redeemed me from my enemies.
  7. I will thank God for His help, through Him I can do mighty things.
  8. I will praise God for He heals me and makes me whole.
  9. I will praise God because His glory is higher than the heavens.
  10. I am grateful to God because He is my refuge and my shield.

When obedience seems hard

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were in Abraham’s position? God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac — the son he had waited for all his life. Imagine the thoughts that must have run through his mind as he walked toward that mountain, carrying wood and fire but no explanation. Yet, Abraham obeyed. He trusted that even in this impossible command, God had a purpose. His faith reminds us that true obedience sometimes means surrendering what we value most. Sometimes, God asks us to let go of something dear — a dream, a relationship, or even a habit — and our first instinct is to resist. We grumble, argue, or try to reason it out because obedience can feel costly. But obedience, even when hard, is proof of our trust in God. Truly humble?

“True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.” Proverbs 22 : 4 NLT As a Christian, have you ever been convicted in your heart that you were acting out of pride? Sometimes pride creeps in unnoticed—especially when we get carried away with church activities or even personal achievements. Before we realize it, we may start thinking we are the center of attraction instead of giving God the glory. Pride is subtle but dangerous, and if we are not careful, our service to God can become more about ourselves than Him. May we never be deprived of God’s blessings because of pride.
