A new beginning

 

















Read: Psalm 86:5
O Lord, You are so good, so ready to forgive, 
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help.

Hello Friend!
Have you ever felt so guilty about something bad you did, that you felt you could never be forgiven? Have you ever felt like you are not enough, that you are unlovable, that you can never find peace? Contrary to your thoughts, the arms of the Lord are ever opened wide for everyone. It does not matter what your past looks like, God wants to give you a brighter and better tomorrow. This is an inspiring story about embracing a new beginning in Christ Jesus.

She stood in front of the mirror in the dressing room,

Six feet tall with dark brown hair,

“Wow, you look good,”

A stranger complimented her.


She grinned a little and sighed afterwards.

“If only they knew how terrible I am inside,

If only they can see through me,

And see my ugly past.”


“You are beautiful inside out.”

She was surprised and turned back,

It was an elderly woman who came in.

“Thank you, ma’am.


I wasn’t sure I heard well.”

“Oh dear, pardon my interference.

I only came to brush my hair and saw you,

I couldn’t help but speak.


The Holy Spirit prompted me to come in at this time.

I’m not sure what this is going to be,

But as soon as I walked in there and saw you, 

I saw a beautiful and strong woman who needs peace.


I don’t know what you’ve been through,

I don’t know what bitterness you have inside,

But you can let it all out and feel relieved.

You can drop your burdens at the Lord’s feet.”


She began to cry,

“Have you met me before ma’am?

How did you know so much about me?

Who sent you to me?”


“God sent me to you my dear.

It doesn’t matter who has offended you in the past,

It doesn’t matter who you have offended, 

It doesn’t matter the flaws you carry around, 


God loves you. 

His will is for you to find peace and live a fulfilling life.

But you have to move on from the past,

And embrace a new beginning in Christ Jesus.”


She continued to cry.

"Please lead me to Jesus. 

I’m done with living in bitterness and unforgiveness,

I am ready for a new beginning in Christ Jesus."


Prayer 
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

When obedience seems hard

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were in Abraham’s position? God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac — the son he had waited for all his life. Imagine the thoughts that must have run through his mind as he walked toward that mountain, carrying wood and fire but no explanation. Yet, Abraham obeyed. He trusted that even in this impossible command, God had a purpose. His faith reminds us that true obedience sometimes means surrendering what we value most. Sometimes, God asks us to let go of something dear — a dream, a relationship, or even a habit — and our first instinct is to resist. We grumble, argue, or try to reason it out because obedience can feel costly. But obedience, even when hard, is proof of our trust in God. Truly humble?

“True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.” Proverbs 22 : 4 NLT As a Christian, have you ever been convicted in your heart that you were acting out of pride? Sometimes pride creeps in unnoticed—especially when we get carried away with church activities or even personal achievements. Before we realize it, we may start thinking we are the center of attraction instead of giving God the glory.
