Read: Matthew 11:28-30
Hello Friend!
Have you ever found yourself at a point when it’s hard to pray or believe? Have you ever gotten so distracted with your worries that you forgot that God still answers prayers? May we never forget how powerful our God is and May our faith in Him never wax cold. I hope this piece inspires you:
He paced around the wide corridor
Worry and fear engulfed his mind
He watched people come in and go out
But all he could think was “how?”
How will it happen?
How can she survive?
How can we scale through this?
How will things be normal again?
He stood for a while
Looked up at the ceiling
All white and blank
No answers
Looked up at the ceiling
All white and blank
No answers
He sat back on the chair
Looked at the floor
Just cement and sand
No answers
Nothing seemed to bring hope
The doctors all looked sad and gloomy
What was going to be the end of this?
Would she survive?
I can’t lose her
She’s all I’ve got
I’ve tried everything
I’ve done everything I can
“But have you prayed?”
“Don’t you believe in me anymore?”
He heard this calm voice in his ears
And felt a cold hand on his shoulders
Turned around but saw no one
He cried out, “God is that You?”
But He did not hear anything again
“God please forgive my ignorance!”
“Forgive me for not trusting enough”
“I believe in You, God!”
Then He heard the calm voice again,
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
“I put my worries in Your care, Lord”
“Please help me, I can’t help her”
He felt the burden leave his shoulders
He pictured his wife’s face smiling
He saw the doctors congratulating him
"The surgery was successful”
He began to cry in joy
He lifted up his voice and cried out
“God, You still do miracles!”
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for the assurance that You are more than able to help me. May I always trust in You and keep growing in faith.
