5 truths to hold on to

Hello Friend! I trust you are doing well. Welcome back to Narrow and Beautiful, it's always good to have you here. By God's grace, this new week will be a productive one for you.

Life is full of uncertainties. Some days, everything feels right, and other days, doubts creep in. But imagine waking up one morning and questioning everything you ever believed in—what if it was all a lie? In moments like these, we must remind ourselves of one unshakable fact: God’s Word is true and never fails.

No matter what life throws at you, here are five foundational truths to always keep in your heart:

1. God Loves You

One of the greatest truths in the Bible is that God loves you deeply and unconditionally. His love isn’t based on your achievements, mistakes, or circumstances—it is constant and unwavering.

📖 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

Even when you feel unworthy, unloved, or abandoned, remember that God’s love is not dependent on how you feel; it is a fact.

2. God Keeps His Promises

In a world where people break their promises, it is reassuring to know that God always keeps His word. He does not lie, change His mind, or fail to fulfill what He has spoken.

📖 “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” – Numbers 23:19

If God has promised you something, you can hold on to it with confidence. His timing may not be yours, but His faithfulness is guaranteed.

3. God Watches Over You

It’s easy to feel unseen or forgotten, especially in difficult times. But take comfort in knowing that God is always watching over you. He sees your struggles, hears your prayers, and is actively working behind the scenes for your good.

📖 “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” – Psalm 121:8

Even when it feels like no one cares, God is always present, guiding and protecting you.

4. God’s Grace Is Sufficient for You

There are days when we feel weak, unworthy, or incapable. But God’s grace is more than enough to sustain you through every challenge. His strength is made perfect in your weakness.

📖 “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

No matter what you face, God’s grace will carry you through.

5. If You Trust God, He Won’t Fail You

Trusting God means surrendering your fears, doubts, and worries to Him. When you rely on Him completely, He will never let you down.

📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

Even when you don’t see the full picture, trust that God is leading you to the best outcome.

Keep in Mind

No matter what life throws your way, hold on to these truths. God’s word is unchanging, His love is unfailing, and His promises are sure. Let these truths anchor your faith, and never doubt that God is who He says He is.

When obedience seems hard

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were in Abraham’s position? God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac — the son he had waited for all his life. Imagine the thoughts that must have run through his mind as he walked toward that mountain, carrying wood and fire but no explanation. Yet, Abraham obeyed. He trusted that even in this impossible command, God had a purpose. His faith reminds us that true obedience sometimes means surrendering what we value most. Sometimes, God asks us to let go of something dear — a dream, a relationship, or even a habit — and our first instinct is to resist. We grumble, argue, or try to reason it out because obedience can feel costly. But obedience, even when hard, is proof of our trust in God.
