Easter Reflections

Hello Friend!
I trust you are doing well. Welcome back to Narrow and Beautiful, it's always good to have you here. By God's grace, this Easter will be one to remember.

Today we are looking at a powerful message as we reflect on the significance of Easter. Have you ever taken a moment to think about what Easter truly means beyond the celebration? Have you ever felt distant from God or wondered if His love is still for you? This season reminds us of the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice, the victory we have in Him, and the unfailing friendship and love He offers us.

As we reflect on Easter and all it represents, our hearts are drawn back to the very core of our faith—Jesus, our Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. Easter is not just a celebration of the resurrection; it is a reminder of God’s love, the victory we have in Christ, and the deep, lasting friendship we share with Him.

Significance of Jesus in Your Life
Jesus is more than a historical figure—He is the reason we are saved, healed, and made whole. His sacrifice on the cross was personal. He laid down His life for you and me, proving that there is no greater love than this. Like the shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to find the one that wandered, Jesus pursues us even when we drift away. No matter what we go through—pain, heartbreak, rejection—we are never truly alone. We have a Friend who never turns away. Easter reminds us of this enduring love that continues to seek us and draw us close.

Victory in Christ
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus gave us victory over sin, death, and fear. We are no longer bound by the weight of guilt or shame because His blood has redeemed us. As we reflect this Easter week, let us walk boldly in the freedom we’ve received. Let us lay aside fear and step into the assurance that we are covered, forgiven, and victorious through Christ. The empty tomb is proof that our Savior lives—and because He lives, we can face tomorrow with confidence and joy.

How Much Do You Love God?
Easter calls us to examine our hearts. Have you wandered from the presence of God? Is your love for Him still alive and burning? Or have you allowed life’s distractions to dim your flame? As we reflect, it’s a time to return—just like the prodigal son—to the open arms of a loving Father. God is not looking for perfection, but for hearts that long for Him. He wants to rekindle your love and renew your relationship with Him.

Do I Show God’s Love to Others?
Jesus showed us love in the most sacrificial way possible. As His followers, we are called to reflect that same love to others. Easter is a powerful time to evaluate how well we represent Christ in our relationships. Do we speak with kindness? Do we forgive as He forgave us? Do our actions lead others to feel God’s love through us? This season, let love be our loudest message.

God Loves You Unconditionally
Above all, Easter is a celebration of God’s unchanging, unconditional love. His love is not based on who you are or what you’ve done—it’s based on who He is. No matter how far you’ve strayed or how broken you feel, His arms are wide open. Let this week remind you that His love never gives up on you. You are loved, chosen, and held by the One who conquered the grave.

Take away
Let these Easter reflections draw you closer to Jesus, the Friend who died for you, rose again, and is with you always.

What type of Christian are you?

Sister Rose was stopped at the gate of heaven, and confusion filled her face. “What is going on here?” she asked. “My name is Sister Rose Agatha, the General Choir Director of the Association of Christian Choristers in my country. What do you mean I’m not qualified to enter?” The angel looked at her calmly. “I’m sorry, ma, but the gate has been shut against you. Many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14). She felt offended. “Sir, with all due respect, you must be mistaking me for someone else. I served God all the years of my life on earth. Do you know how many choir groups I headed? How many crusades I was invited to? I was very popular.” “The Kingdom of God is not about popularity,” the angel replied. “What quality of service did you render to God? Was it for His glory or to please men? Remember, ‘For we must all stand before Christ to be judged… each of us will receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body’” (2 Corinthians 5:10). ...

Giving Thanks in Everything

Sometimes life feels like it’s falling apart — plans fail, losses come unexpectedly, and hope seems distant. Think of a time when things weren’t going the way you wanted; with all the emotions rushing through your mind, gratitude was probably the last thing you wanted to express. Yet, this is exactly where true thanksgiving begins — not when life is perfect, but when we trust that God is still good, even when things don’t seem that way. God’s Word encourages us to give thanks in all circumstances because He cares deeply for us, and His thoughts toward us are always good (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when things seem unclear, His plans are still for our peace and not for our destruction. Sometimes, we need to pause and look back at our lives to see the countless blessings we’ve overlooked. The psalmist reminds us to remember the deeds of the Lord and meditate on His works (Psalm 77:11–12). As we walk through tough seasons, it’s important to shift our focus away from negativity and toward the...

When obedience seems hard

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were in Abraham’s position? God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac — the son he had waited for all his life. Imagine the thoughts that must have run through his mind as he walked toward that mountain, carrying wood and fire but no explanation. Yet, Abraham obeyed. He trusted that even in this impossible command, God had a purpose. His faith reminds us that true obedience sometimes means surrendering what we value most. Sometimes, God asks us to let go of something dear — a dream, a relationship, or even a habit — and our first instinct is to resist. We grumble, argue, or try to reason it out because obedience can feel costly. But obedience, even when hard, is proof of our trust in God. Jesus Himself obeyed the Father even unto death (Philippians 2:8), and that obedience brought salvation to the whole world. The Bible makes it clear that disobedience leads to pain and loss. Saul lost his throne because he disobeyed God’s instr...
