Have you ever been in a place where your heart is weighed down with anxiety and uncertainty? Perhaps you were holding on to a promise or expecting a breakthrough, only for things to take a sudden, unexpected turn. Your hope gets shaken, your faith feels weak, and you begin to wonder—Where is God in all this?
Life does have its valleys. The Bible never promises a life without trials. In fact, Isaiah 43:2 reminds us, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” This is not just poetic encouragement—it’s a divine assurance.
Even Jesus said in John 16:33, “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” This means we can hold on to peace—not because everything is perfect, but because our God is.
Sometimes, life doesn’t make sense. Things may feel chaotic, unstable, or even hopeless. But here’s the unchanging truth: God is good. Always. His character doesn’t shift with our circumstances. As Psalm 145:9 says, “The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.”
One devotional I once read said, “Don’t try to figure out God—just trust Him.” That struck a deep chord. Why? Because our human understanding is limited, but God’s wisdom is infinite. His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8–9), and His plans for us are rooted in goodness and hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
You may not know how or when your situation will change, but know this: God has not forgotten you. He sees you, He cares for you, and He will come through for you. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”
So today, cast off every thought of doubt, and silence every lie that says you’re alone or forgotten. Let your heart rest in this truth: God is good, and His goodness is running after you.
When the storms of life hit, don’t let your faith waver. Instead, let your trust in God deepen. He is faithful, He is present, and He is good—no matter what. Let His Word be your anchor and His promises your comfort.
Psalm 100:5 – “For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.”
