Isaiah 26:3 NLT
There are times in life when anxiety grips us so tightly that it feels like everything depends on the outcome of a single moment. You may have poured so much effort into something that the thought of it failing drives you restless. Perhaps you’ve been in those shoes—worry sick, burdened, and thinking, “I can’t put all these efforts in vain.”
The truth is, life naturally comes with many things that can trigger anxiety. But no matter how much you worry, it never changes the situation. What truly makes a difference is finding peace in God’s presence. Perfect peace comes when you release control and place your life in His hands, because His hands are far bigger and stronger to carry your burdens. Scripture reminds us: “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT).
When we worry too much, we unintentionally give credit to the enemy—it’s almost like saying, “God, I’m not so sure You are really helping me.” But God calls us to complete trust. Jesus taught about faith repeatedly, and James warns us that “a double-minded person is unstable in all they do” (James 1:8 NLT). If we claim to trust God, we must let our trust be whole, not halfway.
With the leading of the Holy Spirit, a man once took a bold decision to venture into a business. He invested a lot of money and committed it into God’s hands. Unfortunately, two years later, the business crumbled, and his friends thought he had been foolish. But God told him to keep trusting Him and to start the business again in another state. People mocked him and said he was the most stupid person they had ever seen. Yet, he trusted God completely and was ready to follow His leading no matter what.
By God’s grace, he found help to gather the leftover pieces and restarted the business just as God instructed. To cut the long story short, within one year, the man had made about ten times more than he ever did before. God had bigger plans for him all along. Despite his downfall, he continued to trust God, and the only reason he didn’t lose his mind was because of the peace he had in trusting Him.
The peace of God does not depend on circumstances but on His promises. People may not understand your decisions, but when you lean on God fully, His peace will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:6–7 NLT). There are countless voices in the world, but true peace is only found when we fix our thoughts on God’s voice alone.
So, let go of that worry today. God’s plans are greater than your fears, and His peace will carry you through every storm.
Takeaway
Worry changes nothing, but trusting God changes everything. Fix your thoughts on Him, cast your burdens on His shoulders, and let His perfect peace guard your heart.
Jesus loves you!
