As we begin this new year, let us not forget that Jesus must remain the center of our lives. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement, resolutions, and pressures that come with a new year, but our focus should always gravitate toward Him. When God is first, every other thing finds its proper place.
You may have many plans and goals for this year, and that is good. However, those plans will truly prosper when they are committed into God’s hands. Scripture reminds us to commit our ways to the Lord and trust Him to act (Psalm 37:5). When God is involved, our efforts are strengthened by His wisdom and direction.
The failures, disappointments, or unfinished goals from last year do not define you. This new year is an opportunity to begin again with renewed faith and hope. Set your goals, make your plans, and then place them before God, trusting Him to do wonders beyond what you can imagine.
Do not be afraid or doubtful. God already knows how this year will end. If you choose to walk with Him daily, He will make crooked paths straight and grant you victory in due time (Isaiah 45:2). His guidance will keep you steady even when the journey feels uncertain.
Make a conscious decision to put God first in every area of your life—your decisions, relationships, work, and dreams. Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you, and have faith that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
I wish you a blessed and fruitful 2026. May this year bring you peace, growth, divine direction, and many reasons to celebrate.
