“The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” Psalm 119:160
Every day, we are constantly faced with a choice—what will we believe? Will we hold on to the truth found in God’s Word, or will we accept what we hear around us? The voices are many: social media narratives, negative thoughts, gossip, fear-filled opinions, and assumptions that quietly shape our minds if we are not careful.
What we believe eventually defines us. The things we allow into our hearts and minds shape our actions, our confidence, and even our faith. This is why it is important to ask yourself: What am I accepting into my life daily? Is it God’s truth, or voices that contradict what He has already said?
Scripture makes it clear that the devil is the father of lies (John 8:44). His strategy has always been the same—to twist the truth and plant doubt. Which of his lies are you holding on to? What lie has he told you about your future, your marriage, your career, or your health? Maybe he has whispered that nothing will work out, that you are not good enough, or that your situation will never change.
Many people find themselves trapped in fear of the unknown, holding on to those fears until they begin to define who they are. But God’s Word tells us otherwise. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear does not come from God, and lies have no authority over a life grounded in truth.
God’s Word is truth in its entirety. His promises are dependable, unchanging, and eternal. When everything around you feels uncertain, His Word remains a firm foundation. Holding on to Scripture helps realign our thoughts, renew our minds, and silence the lies that try to overwhelm us (Romans 12:2).
Instead of allowing lies to define you, choose to anchor your life in God’s truth. Speak His promises over your life. Meditate on His Word. Let what God says about you be louder than what the world says.
Takeaway
Don’t let lies shape your identity or your future. Hold firmly to the truth of God’s Word, reject fear, and allow His promises to define who you are and where you are going.
